Terminology

Different teams call things by different names — what one calls an issue another calls an impediment. The Terminology page (workspace admins only, in the admin section of the sidebar) lets you rename the words ddx PMO shows, without changing how anything works underneath.

Renames are grouped by methodology (PMBOK, ISO 19650, Agile), because each can use its own words:

  • Terms — the nouns for things like risks, issues, actions, and stakeholders. You set both the singular and plural form.
  • Lifecycle stages — the names of the project phases.
  • Knowledge areas — the area labels used in the Knowledge feed filters. These are shared across all methodologies.
  1. Open Terminology from the admin section of the sidebar.
  2. Each row shows the built-in word as faint placeholder text. Type your own word in the box to override it; leave a box blank to keep the built-in word.
  3. For a term, fill in both the singular and plural for the override to take effect.
  4. Choose Save terminology.

Your wording then appears everywhere that term is shown — registers, navigation, labels. It’s display only: the underlying data, classifications, and behaviour are unchanged, so you can rename freely without breaking anything.
