Charter

The Charter page holds your project’s foundational sections — purpose, scope, deliverables, and so on — in order. It’s the structured version of your project charter, kept inside ddx PMO so you can read it, link to it, and trace each part back to where it came from.

You don’t usually type these in. When you import a charter document (a Word or PDF charter), ddx PMO reads it and fills the Charter page in for you, breaking it into sections automatically. Because an uploaded document is a trusted source, those sections apply straight away — no review step.

Until a charter has been imported, the page shows “No charter yet” with a link to the Import page.

Each section is a card showing its title and content, with a count of sections at the top. Select a section’s title to open its detail page, where you can see:

  • the provenance — the source it was drawn from and the supporting text, and
  • whether the section is archived (an archived section is tagged as such and kept for the record rather than shown as current).

The Charter page is the populated charter — the real sections of your project’s charter. The Documents page is different: it generates a fresh charter (and other deliverables) on demand from everything in the project. Import a charter to fill this page; generate one from Documents to produce a written deliverable.
